How the Council Works — the Short Version
- The narrow table: you vote. Your heads advise, but the vote is yours. You chose it that way.
- Works & watches: every open task is a card. Its pips fill as hands do the work — not when you plan it, when you do it.
- Standing: the five-word dial above. Spend it for an ask; earn it for a gift or a deed. Every move is minuted with its cause.
- The record is append-only: a decision, once written, stands forever. You correct it by writing beneath it, never by erasing. The Ledgerman keeps it.
